| 1- Purpose of the Network:
The Institutional Development Network will provide technical assistance to community institutions for organizational development and capacity building. It will also provide a platform to member organizations for regular interactions and receiving technical support from the IDN expert team and consultants. This will also help the member institutions in creating networking linkages and opportunities for its member organizations to interact with the support organizations and donors and receive assistances in different community development interventions.
2- Membership:
IDN members will be community institutions including Community Based Organizations, Village Development Organizations, School Management Committees, Journalist Forums, Village Councils, Local Support Organizations, Youth Groups, Non Governmental Organizations, and thematic networks working in remote areas of Pakistan.
3- General Objectives:
- To provide technical support to member organizations in improving their organizational systems and governance and facilitating them in harvesting internal and external resources.
- To develop linkages of member organizations with donors, resource organizations and resource persons.
- To provide updated information to its members about opportunities and resources available at local, national and international levels.
4. Specific Objectives:
- Provision of technical support in project proposal writing through individual consultants available across Pakistan.
- Facilitate orientation session sin coordination and collaboration with donor agencies to gather technical knowhow regarding the desired proposals.
- Provision of technical support in developing financial system of IDN members and facilitating them in providing yearly financial audits through chartered accountants.
- Provision of technical support in quarterly, bi-annual and annual progress reports through the identified resource persons.
- Facilitation in developing web page of member organizations through IT specialists / individuals and institutes.
- Provision of resource persons / experts in monitoring and evaluating the projects and organizing training events.
- Provision of logistic support including vehicles and security guards to donor agencies during their monitoring visits to different parts of Sindh.
- Provision of technical support in organizing events, publishing materials including training manuals, and purchasing of equipments.
- Providing updated information to its members about calls for proposals, national and international events, and training opportunities
5. Roles and Responsibilities of IDN:
- IDN will conduct a need assessment of its member organization through different tools.
- Conducting individual counselling to provide them with technical assistance regarding institutional/ governance issues as per request of member organization.
- Developing Institutional Development Plan as per need and requirement of the member organization.
- Organize a training event on quarterly basis as per identified training need of the members
- Formation of Thematic Group to provide them with technical support jointly.
- Arrange networking meetings of member organizations with donors, line department and resource organizations to develop linkages as per their need.
- Arrange Meetings with consultants/ resource persons to negotiate the consultancy and follow-ups as per their request for Technical Assistance.
- Facilitate the members in developing TORs for consultants.
- Providing updated information through email/yahoo group.
6. Roles and Responsibilities of IDN Members:
- Seek input from network members from their district/ province on issues as required.
- Support the vision, mandate and core values of the IDN.
- Allocate the necessary time to participate in Network meetings and undertake work on behalf of the Network.
- Participate in at least two Quarterly Review Meetings.
- Work in and promote collaborations among IDN members;
- Contribute resources and information from their district/province and their personal networks to the IDN as appropriate;
- Communicate about the work, opportunities and efforts of the institution within their district/province, ensuring timely information exchange with and among IDN members.
- Pay six monthly fees @ PKR 1000/- or yearly 2000/-
- Pay all the consultancy charges of Resource persons and consultants as agreed in their ToR.
- Pay PKR 200/- to IDN for each coordination meeting with consultant/ resource person.
- Pay 50% charges of training organized by CSSP.
- Bear all travel and accommodation charges for IDN meetings and workshops.
- Provide updated information including monthly, quarterly, bi-annual and annual reports.
- Coordinate and cooperate with the Technical Support Unit of IDN.
- Request for any technical support/ coordination meetings through email or requisition form.
7. Management:
CSSP will establish a Technical Support Unit in its office for regular contact and assistance with a Coordinator responsible for communication and assistance with members and other stakeholders. |
