| 1.Introduction: |
| The Civil Society Support Programme (CSSP) is a Civil Society Organization aimed at “facilitating and promoting social transformation through civic engagement of the concerned citizens for a democratic society”. It envisions a responsible citizenry and proactive civil society. |
2.National Youth Conference 2012
Theme: “Unity in Diversity for Peaceful Coexistence” |
| 2.1 About the Conference |
| The National Youth Conference is a collective forum for VNG members, Civil Society Organizations and other stakeholders to provide the opportunities to youth to have interaction and dialogue with youth organizations, policymakers, public and private institutes, intellectuals, writers, journalists, and elected representatives. The conference will help in sensitizing youth about their increasing role in public affairs. About 500 youth delegates and relevant stakeholders are expected to participate in the event. |
2.2 Objectives |
1. Inspiring participants through sharing of information and interactions with various sections of the society.
2. Providing opportunities to youth to analyse their roles in facing the new challenges.
3. Clarifying inter-provincial issues through constructive dialogue and debate. |
2.3 Who can join the Conference?
The youth of Pakistan aged 18-30 years who desire to bring positive social change in their area and want to contribute in the youth movements are encouraged to attend.

2.5 Learning opportunities:
A full is dedicated to provide learning opportunities to youth to increase their knowledge about education, Information Communication Technology (ICT), Enterprise Development and Democratic Development. Scholars and experts will deliver their sessions and interactive methods will be applied to encourage participation of the youth. Besides this the youth delegates from different provinces of Pakistan will also share their experiences and views about the current challenges and role of youth in inaugural session.

2.6 Performances
A cultural and talent show is planned in the conference where talented youth from across Pakistan will perform before the audience and a panel of judges who will be there to assess their performances and acknowledge their efforts through providing certificates.
A film and theatre festival is also planned in the conference. Film shows and theatre festival will be organized by VNGs and awards will be distributed among the winners. |
2.7 Awards and certificates:
Participation Certificates will be issued to all the participants and awards will be given to the winners. Special Shields and Awards will be given to the youth who have shown their high performance in their respective fields. |
3. Scholarship
There are two categories of scholarships |
- Youth, who qualify as Youth Provincial Delegates ( out of Sindh) they have to submit one to two pages their province situation reflecting current youth status, then CSSP selection committee will award sponsorship to the winners which includes cost of transport (lower AC Train/ Bus only) accommodation and food in Hyderabad.
- CSSP selection committee can award second scholarships category which can provide only accommodation facility during conference, while cost of transport and food in Hyderabad will be afforded by candidates.

4. Conference Fees
The conference fee is Rs. 500 for two days |
