Mr. Ayaz Latif Palijo
Ayaz Latif Palijo (born November 15, 1969) is a Sindhi & Pakistani activist, writer and teacher. He is a symbol of liberal & democratic values and of Sindhi Progressive Nationalism. Ayaz Latif was born in Hyderabad Sindh, to a Baloch mother, the women's rights activist and revolutionary artist Jeejee Zarina Baloch, and a great South Asian leftist father, a legendary theoretician Rasool Bux Palijo. He is one of the leading Human Rights Lawyers of Pakistan. The people of Pakistan admire his courage and commitment to the cause of oppressed and victimized sections of our society. He has done work for victims of honor killing, karo-kari, bonded labor, missing persons, child labor, and violence against women amongst others. Ayaz Palijo, an outstanding Orator, a successful Lawyer, a creative Writer and a devoted Teacher, is considered as being the first person to introduce the concepts of Human Rights and Public Interest Litigation in rural areas of Pakistan. He is also accredited for securing the release of more than 3500 innocent prisoners from different jails, bonded labour camps, illegal confinements, dar-ul-amans and police lockups. Ayaz Latif's recent activities include launching a strong campaign against the man-made water shortage, child abuse, forced conversion of minority girls and terrorism. He is elected President of Awami Tahreek and the Founder and Convener of Sindh Progressive Nationalist Alliance (SPNA).

Dr. Rajab Memon.
Dr. Rajab is recipient of professional distinction award of IZIZ-I-FAZEELAT from the president, Islamic Republic of Pakistan, for excellence in higher education, vocational training and research in social sciences. Dr. Memon received his M.S degrees in Agricultural economics, and the LLB degree, from the University of Sindh with honors. He graduated with PhD. Degree in the Agricultural extension education from Iowa State University of sciences and Technology, Ames, USA. Dr. Rajab Memon received senior Fulbright Research Fellowship and completed post-doctoral research on participatory and research extension programs and Agricultural and rural development, from the University of Minnesota, USA in 1995-98, he received post-doctoral training, in the management of vocational education program at the center for international education in Agriculture, Berne Switzerland.
Dr. Rajab Memon possesses diverse experience of more than 40 years in Higher Agriculture extension, research extension, vocational and career training, distance, continuing and lifelong education and management of development project and programs.

Mr. Jami Chandio.
Mr. Jami Chandio is renowned writer, scholar, and activist. He is executive director of the Center for Peace and Civil Society (CPCS), a think tank based in Pakistan’s Sindh province. He edits CPCS’ quarterly journal Freedom and oversees policy dialogues and research programs that target civil society, especially young writers, journalists and academia. One of Pakistan’s most celebrated writers and scholars, Mr. Chandio is the former editor in-charge of Ibrat, Pakistan’s largest Sindhi-language daily newspaper, a former anchor on Sindh TV and KTN, and former chair of the Liberal Forum of Pakistan. The only two-time winner of the All Pakistan Newspapers Society Award (in 2000 and 2001), he has authored more than a dozen books in Sindhi, Urdu, and English on literature, politics and Sindh.
He has worked with the National Democratic Institute (NDI) in Pakistan as a political expert since 2004. He was awarded Reagan Fascell Democracy Fellowship in fall 2008 by International Forum for Democratic Studies, Washington DC and during his fellowship; Mr. Chandio conducted research on the ‘Crisis of Federalism and Prospects for Provincial Autonomy in Pakistan’ and wrote a book on the subject. Mr. Ghulam Mustafa Baloch.
Mustafa baloch has done his masters in sociology and women studies; and completed certificate course on general management at canfield university UK.
Currently working SPOs a regional head Sindh, he also worked on the same position in Punjab and Baluchistan. He has a proven capability in training and capacity building; he has trained more than 500 gross roots organizations and more than fifty mid level NGOs. Mr. Naseer Memon is a development professional, who has been working with prominent development sector organization of Pakistan. Mr. Rafiq Ahmed Mangi is a Master in international Human Rights and Master from Mahidol University, Bangkok, Thailand and Master in Sociology University of Sindh. He is development professional having experiences in the programme management, human rights, Humanitarian programs, monitoring and evolution social research, and managing networks.
Mr. Mangi has wide and varied experience in multi-discipline programs. Ms. Sahar Gull Bhatt
Ms. Sager Bhatt is a development practitioner and columnist/writer; has her second Masters (Anthropology of Development and Social Transformation) from the University of Sussex, Brighton. Ms. Bhatt completed her first Masters in Philosophy and has been affiliated with the University of Sindh Jamshoro, Humdard University Islamabad and SZABIST Hyderabad as a Research Associate and Lecturer for Philosophy and History of Ideas respectively. in the area of social development , she has experience of working with Sohil-Islamabad, Oxfam GB, the Aga Khan Education Service Pakistan, South Asia Partnership Pakistan and the National Commission for Human Development.
Ms. Bhatti has recently invited her research work under the platform of Regional Academy for Research and Renaissance (RARRE), which she herself has originated. She also plans to organize and conduct an intellectual development program for youth (for their consciousness uplift regarding social sciences) through the Academy. Mr. Zulfiqar Halepoto
Zulfiqar Halepoto is a media and development practitioner. Presently he is working with one of Pakistan’s leading rural development NGO, Thardeep Rural Development Programme (TRDP), as Senior Advisor for Policy, Advocacy and Civil Society Interface. He has worked with national and international organizations, research institutes, and think tanks like Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI), Privatization Commission of Pakistan, University of Sindh, Aurat Foundation, International Republican Institute (IRI), and World Vision. He remained a Focal person of IRI International Election Mission to Pakistan in 2008 General Elections in Pakistan. He is engaged with leading English and Sindhi newspapers as free lance columnist for the last two decades and writes a huge amount of articles, literary essays and columns. He has an account of 12 books on his part that includes his travelogues of India, Bangladesh and USA.
He edited and compiled 4 books (in Sindhi, Urdu and English) on Benazir Bhutto- three books in English on social development and water conflicts including ‘Sindh: Politics, People & Development and ‘Water: A Non-Traditional Human Security Paradigm’. He edited the entire journalistic work of the great poet of sub-continent Shaikh Ayaz. Book is published by culture department, government of Sindh. He also edited selected English essay and columns of one of the renowned Punjabi linguist Dr Manzur Ejaz (living in Washington DC, USA). Another book is also about a journalist in Sindh, titled ‘Remembering A G Chandio (Journalist): An anthology (Sindhi)’. He most recent book is Revival of Khat Nawisee (letter writing), a collection of 25 letters in Sindhi/Urdu written to various literary and intellectuals personalities of the region.
He is author of a popular book ‘Delhi Darshan’, a travelogue of different cities of India. Author has covered his visits, conferences and meetings with various people, forums, groups, NGOs, think tanks, Indian writers, Sindhi Diaspora (people who have migrated from Sindh to India), and meetings with India based journalists and immigrant families.

Mr. Wali Mohammad Rahmoon
ENGR. WALI MUHAMMAD RAHIMOON was born on 10-11-65 in a small village "JESE JO PAR" Taluka Chhachhro-Tharparkar-Sindh. He received his primary education from his native village and graduated from MUET Jamshoro in 1990, he is a Triple Gold Medalist Engineer and Thar Coal Expert. He produced electricity from hot Sand of Thar and Coal Powder, also private ELECTRICAL INSPECTOR PAKISTAN. His Gold Medals are (MUET-Gold Medallist), (IEEEP-Gold Medallist), (SGA-Gold Medallist), MIEEE(USA), MIAEI (USA). He is Member Provincial Council PPP-Sindh. Mr. Fateh Muhammad Mari
Mr. Fateh Mohammed Mari (born on June 20, 1971) has done his Masters’ degree in agricultural economics and rural sociology, with distinction. Presently, he is working as Manager Programs in Actionaid International Pakistan at its Area office Karachi since May 2006. Previously, he was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Agricultural Economics, where the nature of the job is teaching and research. He was teaching different courses including Agricultural Economics, Natural Resources Management, Production Economics, Agricultural Marketing, Agricultural Prices Analysis, Rural Sociology, Economic Analysis and Research Methods. He worked as a Co-PI in a research project under ALP and has worked as Principal Scientist in two different research projects in collaboration with Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC) and University Grants Commission, Islamabad, Pakistan. He is member to the departmental board of studies and supervisor to M. Sc. Students in their theses work.
Previously, Mr. Fateh Mari has remained associated with International Water Management Institute (IWMI), Pakistan as Social Scientist and Team Member in an action research project “Farmer Managed Irrigated Agriculture, under LBOD Phase 1” during 1997-98. The project aimed to test the viability of farmer organizations in the socio-economic context of Sindh. He possesses technical experience of community mobilization for participatory irrigation management and capacity building of Farmers Organizations’ (FOs). He has very good leadership qualities, interpersonal communication skills and art of negotiation. Mr. Mari has worked in remote rural areas in very tough situations. He can move frequently and work in far-flung areas. He has sound knowledge of socio-economic and cultural context of the country. Besides, he has traveled and attended different national and international workshops and conferences on research, development and water management. He has also remained involved in various training programs organized for the members of farmers’ organizations during his association with IWMI and as a member of Farmers Advisory Services Cell at the University. Mr. Mari has eleven research publications to his credit. Mr. Zulfiqar Ahmed Bachani

Amir Latif Siddiqui
Mr. Siddiqui is working with social development sector since a decade; he got Masters Degree in Social Sciences and registered in M.Phil in the same discipline. Moreover, he started his career with Sindh Goth Sudhar Sangat (SSGS) as volunteer then he joined KZR Associates as community mobilize (Team Leader) and worked on Girls Primary Education Development Program Phase-II, funded by ADB. Then he joined research Triangle Institute (RTI) International and worked on Education Sector Reform Assistance (ESRA) Program funded by USAID. He remained with ESRA/USAID Program for around four years in difference capacities, while in the last he worked in the capacity of District Manager Tando Muhammad Khan. He got good skills in Community Mobilization, Grants Distribution/ Management, Team Building, Capacity Building and Coordination. In the whole journey of his career he developed several case studies, training manuals on community mobilization and for Education Field Officer while developed several reports. Furthermore, he is President (Honorary) of AHSASE Development Foundation and member of BoD CSSP.
