| Organizational Background |
| The Civil Society Support Programme (CSSP) is a non-profit civil society organization which emerged as a response to the challenges facing the civil society of Pakistan, with regards to the fight against poverty, social injustice, and governance issues. It was established in 2005 and received registration under Trust Act 1882 in 2007. CSSP is aimed at the meaningful engagement of civil society in the socio-economic and democratic development of Pakistan. This will be achieved by diversifying the efforts of different stakeholders including youth, civil society organizations, media persons, academia, researchers, lawyers, trade unions, and elected representatives through lobbying and advocacy for policy reforms and implementation. |

- Increased responsiveness of youth groups in promoting agenda of equitable and sustainable development
- Enhanced capacity of social watch coalitions to carryout research-based advocacy on human rights, peace and social justice with key stakeholders
- Increased opportunities of social safety nets for vulnerable groups, with special focus on women, children, minorities and labourers
- Improved quality of girls’ education with increased and accessible opportunities
- Enhanced capacity of local communities in disaster preparedness and risk reduction
- Effective linkages for collective social response with potential partner institutions at national, regional and global levels strengthened
